April 22, 2004 - Well, I have finally turned one year old!! The last few days have been so crazy! My Mommy and Daddy gave me a new, front facing car seat for my birthday. They put it in the car for me this past Friday and I got to take my first trip home to Camden in it. We went to Camden late Friday night so that my Mommy could get stuff together for my LadyBug Birthday party. We got to Camden a little before midnight and stayed up half the night working on my LadyBug cake. My Mommy and grandmother made me a cute ladybug birthday cake. They also decorated me some overalls with ladybugs to wear at my party. I left with my Daddy to my other grandmothers so I could get some sleep. My Mom stayed up with my grandmother until after 5 the next morning making stuff for my party. My party was at 4:00 on Saturday, April 17th. I had a lot of people come to my party. My Mom, Daddy, Grandma & Granddaddy Terry, Grandma & Grandaddy Pearson, Uncle Marcus, Grammy, PawPaw, Mamaw, Dolly, Stephanie, Robert, Grandma Agee, Rachel, Kristin, Bill, Lou, Will, Margaret Anne, Blair and her new baby Hunter all came to see me. I got a lot of nice gifts too. My favorite gift was the crinkle paper that Bill & Lou used to fill the bottom of a basket that they gave me. It was a lot of fun and messy! I also got to eat a big piece of cake! I was very neat and didn't make a mess with it so they gave me ice cream. I think they wanted me to get messy for the pictures. After my birthday party was over, we went to my other grandmothers for a cook out. I had several people to come see me over there too. Michael, Sissy, Micah, Seth, Janet, Kenneth, Carol, Gene, Don and some other people that I hadn't met before were all over there. I got to eat some more cake there too. Once the cook out was over, we went back to my Mommy's house to watch a movie with my Aunt Stephanie. I slept through most of the movie though. Sunday morning, my Mommy, Daddy and I got up and drove to Selma to visit my Aunt Virginia in the nursing home. My Aunt Rachel was also there so we got to visit her too. When we got through there, we went back to Camden and got things ready to go home. Once we got back to my home and got settled in, my Mommy and Daddy took me to Wal-Mart to buy some new toys with my birthday money. I picked out a Little Tikes play gym to go outside in my yard. It has a slide and a tunnel! I love playing with it. We also put together the wagon that my Uncle Marcus gave me. It is also a lot of fun! My Daddy took this whole week off from work to be at home with me for my birthday week. We have had a LOT of fun together. We've been playing outside a lot and I even got to go swimming in my new pool that the Easter Bunny brought me. I did have to go to the doctor today though for my 12 month visit and had to get a shot. That wasn't much fun but my Mommy loved on me and that made me feel a lot better. The week is almost over and I'm going to be sad when my Daddy has to go back to work. It has been a fun week staying at home with him. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you that I took my first steps yesterday on my birthday!! My Mommy and Daddy were so excited that they bought me some new movies! We were in Wal-Mart and my Daddy stood me up on the Campbell's soup aisle. I wanted to play with the nicely stacked cans so I took one step toward them. My Daddy kept backing me away from them, so I kep having to take steps trying to get back to them. When they took me to the movie section, I saw a Blue's Clues movie that I wanted so I took 2 steps to get to it!

April 5, 2004 - Well, we finally decided that I am going to have a Ladybug themed birthday party. My Mommy found some really cute ladybug stuff online and ordered it. We also went to a store called Party Time and were able to find some really cute invitations! My Mommy and Daddy bought me a front facing car seat for my Birthday but I'm not supposed to know that yet! My Grandmother came up last week to visit for a few days and help my Mommy get her taxes together. I haven't done too much since the last entry. My Mommy and Daddy were hoping that I might be walking before my birthday gets here but it doesn't look like I will be. I have learned how to climb on the sofa by myself though! I have also been watching Blues Clues a lot lately. It comes on in the morning and my Mommy lets me watch it while she works on her websites! She's been really busy working on her new site, Toadally Babies. It is an online baby photo contest that she is setting up for me to have. All of the money made from this site will go into a savings account for my college one day. Ginabugs has also been keeping her busy with all of the Easter orders that she's been getting. We have been going to the Galleria a lot lately to hand out flyers and MomPacks. We got my pictures made in pig tails one day when we were up there and they are too cute! I think we're going back this week to get my Easter pictures made. It just depends on if my Easter basket gets here in time. My Mommy ordered me a really cute one from Pottery Barn! I am really excited about Easter since I missed it by one day last year!! Well, I guess that is all the news for now! I'll let you all know how my birthday goes!!!

March 13, 2004 - During the last few weeks, I have cut my top four teeth. There hasn't been a whole lot going on other than that. We went to Camden last weekend and had a Yard Sale. We sold a lot of stuff. Right now, we're trying to decide what we want to do for my birthday. My Daddy wants either Lord of the Rings or an Alabama birthday party but my Mommy wants Finding Nemo or something girly. I have started eating a lot of table food now...I don't really like baby food too much so my parents aren't making me eat it. Last night, my Mommy fixed my hair in pig tails and took pictures. I looked pretty cute! We're going today to have my pictures made with my new pig tails! If they turn out really cute, I might let my Mommy use them on my birthday cards!

February 23, 2004 - My Uncle Marcus and Courtney came to visit today so that he and my Daddy could go visit my Aunt Virginia in the hospital. My Mommy printed out my picture to send her to make her feel better. My Daddy said that she is doing much better now and thinks she will be up and out of there in no time! I stayed at home with my Mommy and Courtney. We played and hung out all day. When they got back from the hospital, we went and ate at the Santa Fe Steakhouse. I had a lot of fun trying to dump drinks on everybody! I almost got my Daddy good but he was too quick and got out of the way so it just dumped all of the floor and the booth. I'll get him good next time! Oh, have I mentioned that I can stand up now?!?

February 21, 2004 - I am 10 months old today! I am also cutting 3 teeth on the top of my mouth now! Two are already very visible. My grandmother (Pearson) came to visit us last night and some today. She took me clothes shopping at Old Navy and bought me bunches of nice things. She also bought me a high chair seat. We went and met the Satterwhite's for dinner Friday at O'Charley's.

February 14, 2004 - My first Valentine's Day! My Daddy got me and Mommy both up early to bring us our Valentine's cards in bed! He bought me a beanie baby! After we got up and got moving, we went home to Camden for my granddaddy's (Terry) birthday. His birthday was yesterday so we're going to visit him for the weekend. We first had to go through Selma on the way home because my Aunt Rachel was getting married. They had a small family wedding. My Aunt Virginia is in the hospital still but everyone seems to think that she is getting better. I sure hope she does...

January 29, 2004 - We went home late tonight for my Uncle Robert's birthday. His birthday is next Thursday but we wanted to come this weekend since my granddaddy is off work. He had a big Auburn birthday party with a big Auburn cake. I got to see my Uncle Steve this weekend so I was really excited. I really love my Uncle Steve and he really loves me.

January 21, 2004 - 9 months old!

January 1, 2004 - My first New Year's! My parents and I went to Crazy Bill's and bought fireworks. We stayed up really late and shot them and my Mom fixed smoothies for us!. I fell asleep while my parents finished off the bottle rockets!

November 4, 2003 - Today is my Daddy's birthday. He is 28 years old now. For his birthday, I got my first two teeth!!! (The two front bottom ones)

October 31, 2003 - My Mommy and I went home to Camden again to visit my grandparents and to enter me in the costume contest. My Mommy and I had found a cute pumpkin outfit for me at Gymboree. It looked very cute on me! We bought a black turtle neck and black leggins to wear under it and my grandmother made me a matching cap to wear with it. I looked quite adorable! We went trick or treating to my Aunt Nancy's house, Uncle Bill and Aunt Lou's house and Granny Anne's. They all had toys and baby food for me! I think I love halloween! I didn't win the contest but my Mommy still knows I was the cutest thing there!!

October 21, 2003 - 6 months old and I got to eat veggies for the first time (I don't like them too much)!!!

September 21, 2003 - 5 months old!!!

August 21, 2003 - Today I am 4 months old and my Mommy is 24 years old! I also had to go back to the doctor today.

August 11, 2003 - Today is my parents anniversary and is also one year to the day that they found out about me! I also got to watch my Uncle Marcus graduate from the University of Alabama. After the graduation, we went over to his house and visited with everyone and ate. Later that evening on our way home, we stopped in Bessemer and my Mommy got her business lisence so that she can work and stay home with me.

August 10, 2003 - Today we went to Tuscaloosa for my Uncle Marcus's college graduation from the University of Alabama. We are spending the night at a hotel so that we don't have to get up so early in the morning to be here. I got to meet my Granddaddy Barr for the first time. He came from Houston to see the graduation.

August 9, 2003 - Today we went to Olive Garden to eat for an early Anniversary dinner for my parents. I wasn't very happy today and cried most of the time we were there. My Mommy finally had to leave my Daddy alone in the restaurant so that she could go out to the car with me and nurse me. My Daddy ended up getting a 'to go' box for my Mommy's food and we went home. My Mommy ate her anniversary dinner the next day for lunch!

July 25, 2003 - We went home for the weekend to visit my grandparents in Camden. My Daddy's work is moving across town and my Mommy didn't want to stay at home by herself so we are spending the weekend with them. We went shopping in Selma this weekend and my Mommy found a bunch of KitchenAid stuff on clearance that she bought to resell on ebay. I had to ride home in the backseat with about 11 coffee makers!

July 21, 2003 - 3 months old!!!

July 18, 2003 - I can roll over!!!

July 16, 2003 - Today I had to go to the doctor again for my 3 months appointment. I am really starting to hate this place. They always give me shots! I did find out that I am still a growing little girl! I weighed 13 lbs even and was 23 inches long.

July 15, 2003 - Today was an awesome day for me! My Mommy bought me my very own exer-saucer! It's a big girl toy so my Mommy had to be very careful with me in it. She put towels all around me so that I could sit up in it and play. It was a lot of fun although I think it will get better once I'm a little bit bigger.

July 6, 2003 - Today was my first Acker family reunion! There were so many people there!! I got to meet lots of new people and even another baby that had a swing just like mine! Everybody came to my grandparents house for the reunion. I visited for a while and then slept through the rest of it. My Mommy handed out my pictures to everyone!

July 5, 2003 - Today we went home to Camden to visit my grandparents again! My grandmother had bought me an American Flag bathing suit from Old Navy but the weather didn't really cooperate long enough for me to get in the pool for very long. She also bought me a duck boat to float in but I didn't like it too much. I would rather my Daddy hold me instead.

July 4, 2003 - Today was my first 4th of July! We decided to spend the day with the Satterwhite's at their river home. My grandmother (Pearson) came up and visited us there and so did my cousin, Rachel. I was a little fussier than usual today. I think that there were just too many strange people trying to pass me around.

June 25, 2003 - Today I was able to wear my first pair of shoes. My Mommy bought a cute little pair of t-strap Keds for me but they have been too big until now. She took lots of pictures of me wearing them!

June 23, 2003 - Today was my Mommy's first day back to work at the daycare. Some of the people there were mean to me and let me cry and wouldn't take care of me. They fussed at my Mommy for checking in on me in my classroom. My Mommy and I both cried all day long and decided that we weren't going back to that mean place so my Mommy quit.

June 21, 2003 - I am 2 months old today! My Mommy took lots and lots of pictures of me today. My Mommy, Daddy and I all went to Winn-Dixie today to buy some groceries and bumped into another friend of my Mom's, Carrie. She was there with her Mom and sister and they all made such a fuss over me! My parents dressed me up in my Daddy's favorite outfit of mine with my sunglasses. I was quite a little cutie pie!

June 18, 2003 - I went back for my second doctor's visit today. It wasn't very much fun either. They gave me a bunch of shots. I have really grown a lot this last month. I have gained several pounds and now weight 11 lbs, 7 oz and am 22 inches long.

May 2003 - I am still on a three hour feeding schedule. I like to spend the day in my swing. I am a very good baby still and can keep myself happy most of the time. I love to hang out with my Daddy when he gets home at night. I am his little buddy and fall asleep in his arms almost every single night!

May 24, 2003 - Today I got to meet my Grandma Agee for the first time. I loved meeting her because she held me and rocked me the whole time she was there. I also got held a lot by my cousin Rachel. I sure am a lucky little girl to have so many people that love me.

May 23, 2003 - Today I took my first road trip. We went home for my Uncle Robert's graduation from high school. I slept the whole way there. Since he was graduating from Thomasville High, we decided to just go to Thomasville first and meet everyone there for dinner. We first stopped by the Chevrolet dealership to visit my grandmother (Pearson). She took me out of my car seat and showed me off to everyone there. I also had to get my diaper changed after the long car ride and my Mommy changed my clothes into a pretty pink dress for the graduation. Once we got ready, we went and met my other grandparents (Terry), my Mamaw (Albritton), Greatest Aunt Dolly, Aunt Lou and Uncle Bill, Cousins Will and Margaret Anne, Uncle Robert, Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Steve at Ryan's. After we ate and let Uncle Robert open his gifts, we left and went to the high school. I slept through most of the program. Once everything was over, I got to meet some more relatives of my...My cousin Ken and Aunt Elaine Acker. They had come down from Tuscaloosa to watch the graduation. Once everything was over, we went back to my grandparents house for a good night's rest.

May 21, 2003 - I am one month old today!!

May 6, 2003 - Today I went to my first doctor's appointment. It was not very fun for me. They did a PKU test and I didn't like it at all. My Mommy made my Daddy hold me for it. I did find out that I have gained almost a whole pound since I was born. I weighed 7 lbs, 4 oz and am now 20 inches long.

May 4, 2003 - Today I got to meet some new grandparents of mine. These were my Great-grandparents (Terry) They came up and visited and ate lunch. My granddaddy (Terry) and Aunt Stephanie also came up to get my Grandmother and Uncle Robert and take them back home. Everyone was of course very excited to meet me and I loved all the attention I got from them too!

April 2003 - My habits for this month are: I love to sleep while my Daddy holds me in the recliner. I also love to swing in my swing and being rocked. I sleep pretty good at night but usually wake up around 1:00am and 4:00am for my Mom to feed me. Me and my Mom sleep a lot during the day while my Daddy goes to work. I also have had my grandmother up here to help out too.

April 27, 2003 - My Grandparents came back to see me today. My grandmother (Terry) took the week off of work so that she and my Uncle Robert could come stay and help my Mom this week since my Daddy has to go back to work. We had a lot of really bad weather this week and had to go to our neighbor's storm shelter many times because of tornado warnings. My grandmother did a good job of taking care of us and I loved having her to rock me to sleep every night. My Mommy was also able to get lots of good rest too.

April 26, 2003 - I took my first tub bath today! A friend of my Mom's from work came over to visit me today. Her name was Michelle. She helped my Mom give me my bath.

April 24, 2003 - I got to come home today. I had many people come visit me in the hospital and send flowers and toys but I was glad to come home. We got up that morning and ate our breakfast and started getting ready to go home. My daddy started loading up all of my presents in the car while my Mommy got us ready. My Grandmama made me a beautiful yellow smocked dress to wear home. It was a little bit big on me since I was a little bitty thing. (6 lbs, 5 oz.) We left the hospital around lunch. It was raining outside so we had to be careful. I rode in the backseat with my Mom while Daddy drove us home. When I got home for the first time, I was very tired and spent most of the day in my bassinet sleeping.

April 21, 2003 - Today is the day that I was born. My Mommy and Daddy woke up early this morning to get ready for what would be a long day at the doctor's. My Mom was scheduled for a stress test which was supposed to be followed by a visit to her doctor. When they arrived at Brookwood, they were sent to a room and my Mom was hooked up to a lot of machines so that they could monitor our heart rates. It didn't take long before the nurse knew something was wrong. Every time my Mom would have a contraction, my heart rate would drop off. The nurse told my Mom that these were called variables. After a few times of this happening, the nurse called the doctor to come take a look at the charts. After reviewing the charts, Dr. Banks decided that he wanted my Mom to stay and have some more stress tests done. They sent my Mom downstairs and after a few more tests they decided that they needed to do an emergency c-section because they said that my heart was dropping off too badly and they felt that I wouldn't make it if my Mom went into labor. My Daddy had called all of my grandparents to let them know that I was on my way but since they lived 2 hours away, they didn't make it in time. They gave my Mom an epidural and got her ready for surgery. At 5:03pm, I was born. My Daddy was there to greet me. The epidural that they gave my Mom made her really sick. After getting me cleaned up, they gave me to my Daddy and he carried me back to the recovery room. Not too long afterwards, my grandparents arrived. Everyone was of course very excited to see me and I think I got passed around more that day than any baby should!
